Westdale Services Ltd and project partners Rykneld Homes and EDF Energy are delighted to have won two awards at the Yorkshire & Humberside Energy Efficiency & Retrofit Awards, on 14th June.
Westdale Services Ltd were appointed by Rykneld Homes Ltd to project-manage and deliver a regeneration scheme to 328 REEMA properties. The scheme also made provision for the replacement of 200 new roofs, and 150 new glazing systems. The programme was completed in a challenging 7 month period, ahead of time and on budget. In order to keep disruption to a minimum, Westdale completed >20 properties per week, and worked closely with the client and their Tenant Liaison team to ensure residents were kept fully briefed of the installation programme.
The project was part-funded by EDF Energy through their Energy Company Obligation (ECO), saving circa 16,000 tonnes of Carbon Dioxide Emissions, helping to alleviate fuel poverty, whilst also providing a long-term solution to Rykneld Homes’ worst-performing housing stock in several former coal mining villages.
Westdale also picked up the accolade of ‘Insulation & Fabric Installer of the Year’. Adrian Bishop, Westdale’s Divisional Manager commented: “We’re delighted to pick up these two regional awards; both of which demonstrate our ability to deliver large-scale housing regeneration schemes, whilst also maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction and exemplar levels of quality installation.”
The regeneration scheme saw very high levels of both resident and client satisfaction alike, resulting in our successful award of the successive phase of regeneration in the nearby village of Renishaw, which is currently being delivered.
